Two poets and a philosopher

Edited by Giuseppe Tortora.

The story of the 'Symposium' end here. But of course the ending makes you think. What will Plato meant imagining in these terms?
The irruption of young revelers all back to reality. A reality in which there is no room for thought. Which does not seem to make sense to order. The noise goes out every thought and every conversation that makes sense. Just
any consideration? All the talk? At last only noise
Aristophanes, Agathon, and Socrates. Two poets and a philosopher. In other words: only poetry and philosophy remain alert to reflect on the things that happen, only they are capable of maintaining a sense, a rule, an order. Only the theatrical performance and resist the dominant philosophical meditation confusion order to judge men and events, to indicate a measurement.
And even Aristophanes and Agathon surrender to sleep. And so, when the art tragic and comic art have come to limit them, by which time they have exhausted all their possibilities, there remains only the philosophy, who receiving the tragic and the comic's life, can point to an objective , a standard.

What Happens If U Don't Treat Herpes

Like all saints day

The rite of the Symposium is abruptly interrupted.
Suddenly a great noise. Entering from the gates open, doing great revelry, a large number of young revelers: shaman in the room and end up with the lie as well. Skip
every order. It jumps well each measure (oukéti en kosmo). Also for the wine.
Erissimaco and Phaedrus, and some others are going away. Only Agathon, Aristophanes and Socrates - Aristodemo reminds the narrator of the facts - resist awake (ETI egregorénai disposable) all night, continuing to drink a large cup (pínein phiáles magáles k) that are passed to the right (epi Dexia). Socrates urges them to claim that one man can write funny things is that tragic things (autou tou andros einai komodían tragodían kai), and therefore who is tragic poet by art (techne tòn tragodopoiòn shame) is also a comic poet (komodopoiòn kai einai). But his audience, tired, exhausted, no longer capable of concentration, and with her head dangling from his sleep, help with little conviction. Until
Aristophanes also falls asleep. Agathon, however, let go at daybreak. And only then
Socrates gets up and goes away (anastánta apiénai). Who went to high school - that is the gym that was outside the walls, near the temple of Apollo Licio - washes himself. He set in order ... is being done as all the holy days (Allot ten hósper Allen heméran diatríbein).

Funny Thing To Say To Someone In A Cast

No, Alcibiades will not have won! A

Socrates then turns to Agathon. Alcibiades - he says - must not be outdone. So be careful! That no one puts discord between you and me!
Agathon replies that are now clear to him the reasons for the attitude of Alcibiades, "separated from one another" (hina Chorisia Hemas dialábe). It is no coincidence? notes - that he was lying right between them (kateklíne hos en sou kai meso Emou you). But "will not have won"! And why not understood well, "now I come to lie next to you." Agathon is
disporsi to the right of Socrates. But Alcibiades resents. Given the new arrangements, in fact, Socrates now should be the praise of Agathon, and this, Alcibiades, I just never goes down. But Socrates quell'elogio of his new pupil wants to do right, and Agathon quell'elogio want your reception! Alcibiades
protest: "Look, we are the usual. When there is Socrates (Sokratous paróntos), it is possible for anyone (adýnaton to) enjoy handsome! (Ton kalon metalabeîn).
But Agathon is determined. So he gets up to go and lie down next to Socrates.
And yet ... there is also a eulogy.

jealousy ... double.

Edited by Giuseppe Tortora.

We epilogue. And now the end of the "Symposium"
Alciabiade After the speech, all simposianti appreciate the frankness. Is clear: Alcibiades is still in love with Socrates (ETI erotikôs Sokratous tou).
So now it's up to Socrates. So heavily attacked, it must mean something. And indeed, to Alcibiades turned right, this debut by claiming that everything he says is not due to some alcohol fumes.
No, Alcibiades is not drunk. The exhibition - Socrates points out - the very structure of his praise. The goal was the revenge. But this came at the very end of his speech (epi teleutês Legon). A premeditated plan, then. A large turn of phrase, conducted with great skill, and then the final blow, however, presented in a way that appeared a minor thing, a mere appendage (hos en Parerga). The objective
true then - says Socrates - was to sow discord between him and Agathon (EME kai diabállein Agathon), and the real cause was the jealousy. In its dual aspect. Alcibiades Socrates had only love and no other (oiómenos dein heme were less sou kai medenòs Allou) and Agathon would be loved only by Alcibiades and no one else (Agathon dè hypo erâsthai sou kai med'hyph'henòs Allou).
No, Alcibiades, and you could not hide!
